Working with New Roots for Refugees, a farmer training program for recent immigrants in Kansas City, Kansas, the class collaboratively developed cargo tricycle for use as a utility vehicle in an off-road setting on a working farm. Starting with precedent studies, use analysis, ideation and modeling, a pair of working prototypes were built, and preliminary testing took place. The project will continue to develop following the completion of the semester. Acknowledgments: New Roots for Refugees, KU General Research Fund.
